Is the iPhone SE (3rd Gen) worth it in 2024?

Yes if you want a small, fast iPhone at a low price and don't mind the older screen and camera. If battery life or camera quality matters most, a used iPhone 13 or 14 is a better buy.

How does it compare to the iPhone SE (2nd Gen)?

Same body, screen, and camera, but the 3rd Gen adds the A15 chip and 5G. It is noticeably faster and will get software updates longer.

For calls, messaging, and streaming, yes. If you shoot lots of photos and video or keep big games installed, 64GB fills quickly and there is no microSD slot.

Does it work with TracFone and other carriers?

This unit is listed for TracFone Wireless. Check that it is carrier-unlocked before buying if you plan to use another network.

A pre-owned phone typically ships with the phone only, or with a third-party cable. Apple no longer includes a charger or EarPods in the SE box.

Prices for used 64GB SE models tend to dip around new iPhone launches and major sales events. Track the price history and buy when it sits near its recent low.

Our take on the Apple iPhone SE (3rd Gen) 64GB

The iPhone SE (3rd Gen) is Apple's budget phone: a 4.7-inch LCD screen, Touch ID home button, and the A15 Bionic chip from the iPhone 13. It keeps 5G, wireless charging, and IP67 water resistance in a small, light body. The 64GB model is the entry tier and the least expensive way into a current iPhone. No price was given for this listing, so compare it against recent 64GB SE listings before buying.
