Is the M4 MacBook Air 15-inch worth it at $1,099?

Yes, if you want a big screen and long battery life for school or office work. At $1,099 at Walmart as of November 3, 2026, it is $200 below Apple's starting price for this 512GB model.

How does it compare with the M3 MacBook Air 15-inch?

The M4 brings faster CPU and GPU performance, more memory bandwidth and support for two external displays with the lid closed. The chassis, screen and battery are otherwise the same.

How long does the battery actually last?

Apple rates up to 18 hours of video streaming from the 66.5Wh battery. Real-world mixed use typically lands around 12 to 15 hours, and the fanless design means no performance drop from fan noise.

Is the 15-inch model too big to carry?

It weighs about 3.3 pounds and is under half an inch thick, so it fits most backpacks. If you commute daily with a small bag, the 13-inch Air is easier to carry.

What comes in the box?

The laptop, a 35W dual USB-C power adapter and a MagSafe 3 charging cable. No external display or mouse is included.

MacBook Air prices drop during back-to-school season and Black Friday. The current $1,099 at Walmart is already near the lowest seen for the 512GB model.
