Is the 2015 MacBook Pro 13 still worth buying?

For browsing, writing, email and light photo work at a low used price, yes. For video editing, modern apps or long-term macOS updates, buy a newer model.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

RAM is soldered and cannot be upgraded past 8 GB. The SSD is a proprietary Apple part, so storage upgrades are possible but limited to compatible drives.

No. It has two USB 3 ports, two Thunderbolt 2 ports, HDMI, an SD card slot and a 3.5 mm jack, so you'll need adapters for USB-C accessories.

How long does the battery last?

Apple rated it up to 10 hours when new. On a used unit expect less, and check the cycle count before buying.

Typically just the laptop and a MagSafe 2 charger on the used market. Confirm the charger is included before you buy.

Our take on the Apple MacBook Pro MF839LL/A 13.3" Notebook

The MF839LL/A is the 2015 13-inch MacBook Pro with Retina display: a 2.7 GHz dual-core Intel Core i5, 8 GB RAM, 128 GB SSD and a 2560 x 1600 screen in a 3.5 lb aluminum body. It is the last 13-inch Pro with a full set of ports (HDMI, two Thunderbolt 2, two USB 3, SD card) and a MagSafe power connector. Its appeal now is a sharp screen and solid keyboard at a used price, but the 128 GB drive and 8 GB of soldered RAM are tight for modern work.
