Is the Apple Watch Series 11 worth it over the Series 9?

ZDNET notes the Series 9 shares the Series 11's chipset and offers 18-hour battery life, so it remains a convenient buy. The Series 11 adds hypertension notifications, a sleep score and up to 24 hours of battery, which matter if you want the newer health features.

How long does the battery last?

Apple rates it at up to 24 hours of battery life. Heavy GPS or cellular use will drain it faster, so most people charge it daily.

Do I need an iPhone to use it?

Yes. It runs watchOS and pairs with an iPhone, and Apple Intelligence features like Workout Buddy rely on a nearby iPhone.

What sizes does it come in?

It comes in a 42mm case and a 46mm case. The 46mm model gives a larger screen, while the 42mm suits smaller wrists.

Is the cellular version worth the extra cost?

Cellular lets you take calls and stream music without your phone, but it needs a carrier plan with a monthly fee. Choose GPS only if your phone is usually with you.
