Is the Apple Watch Series 12 worth it over the Series 11?

If you want high-frequency HRV, hypertension notifications and readiness scores, the Series 12 is the upgrade. Owners of a Series 10 or 11 with good battery have less reason to switch.

Do I need an iPhone to use it?

Yes. The Apple Watch works only with an iPhone, and setup requires one. Cellular service also needs a carrier plan that supports Apple Watch.

How long does the battery last?

Apple rates it for about a day of normal use. Cellular calls, GPS workouts and always-on display use shorten that, so most owners charge nightly.

What is included in the box?

The watch with the dark bronze Milanese Loop, a magnetic charging cable and paperwork. A power adapter is not included.

Is the Milanese Loop good for workouts?

It is fine for light activity, but owners report it loosening and catching hair during running or lifting. A sport band is a better fit for hard training.

When is the price lowest?

The best new price is $599 at Walmart as of November 7, 2026. Watch for discounts around Black Friday and new-model launches, when older stock drops.
