Our take on the Arccaptain 20V Cordless Brushless Impact Wrench AR-IW100

The Arccaptain AR-IW100 is a 20V cordless impact wrench with a brushless motor, a 1/2-inch drive and a claimed 885 ft-lb of torque. It weighs about 4 lb and spins up to 2,500 RPM, putting it in the same class as mid-range cordless impact wrenches from better-known brands. Its only recorded price is $129.99 at the one store listing it as of October 31, 2026, so there is no lower price to wait for. The 4.3-star rating rests on just 10 ratings, so treat it as early feedback rather than a proven track record.

Questions and answers

Is the Arccaptain AR-IW100 worth it?
At $129.99 as of October 31, 2026, it is cheap for 885 claimed ft-lb and a brushless motor. With only 10 ratings, buy it for occasional heavy use, not daily shop work.
Does it come with a battery and charger?
Check the listing carefully. Many Arccaptain tools sell as bare tools, and the specs here list only voltage, not a battery or charger in the box.
How does 885 ft-lb compare with name-brand wrenches?
It matches or beats mid-range 1/2-inch cordless wrenches from DeWalt, Milwaukee and Makita on paper. Those brands cost more but have proven torque ratings and service networks.
What size sockets does it take?
It uses a 1/2-inch square drive, so standard 1/2-inch impact sockets fit. Use impact-rated sockets, not chrome hand sockets.
Is it too heavy to use for long?
At about 4 lb it is light for its torque class. Most of the weight sits in the motor and battery, so overhead work is manageable.
When is the best time to buy?
The only recorded price is $129.99 as of October 31, 2026, with no lower price seen. There is no history suggesting a better moment to wait for.
What do buyers say about the Arccaptain 20V Cordless Brushless Impact Wrench AR-IW100?
