Our take on the Arch Studio Printed Cotton Sateen 4-Pc. Sheet Set

A 4-piece cotton sateen sheet set from Arch Studio: flat sheet, fitted sheet and two standard pillowcases, all printed. The fitted sheet has deep pockets rated to fit mattresses up to 18 inches. Sateen weave gives a smooth, slightly lustrous hand rather than the crisp feel of percale. Thread count is not published, so judge it by feel and the 4.5-star rating from 254 buyers rather than a number.

Pros
  • 100% cotton, breathable and machine washable
  • Deep pockets fit mattresses up to 18 inches
  • Sateen weave feels smooth and drapes well
  • Printed pattern is part of the fabric, not a surface print that peels
  • 4-piece set covers a full bed setup out of the box
Cons
  • Thread count is not disclosed, so quality is hard to compare on paper
  • Sateen can pill or snag more than percale with rough use
  • Standard pillowcases only; no king cases in this set
  • Cotton sateen wrinkles and may need ironing for a crisp look
  • Printed designs can fade with hot washes or bleach

Questions and answers

Will the fitted sheet fit my 18-inch mattress?
Yes. Arch Studio rates the deep pockets for mattresses up to 18 inches deep, so it should fit an 18-inch mattress with little slack. Thinner mattresses will have extra fabric tucked under.
What is the thread count?
Arch Studio does not publish a thread count for this set. Sateen weave and 100% cotton content are the stated specs, so compare by feel and buyer ratings instead.
What comes in the 4-piece set?
One flat sheet, one fitted sheet and two standard pillowcases measuring 20 by 30 inches. King-size pillowcases are not included.
How should I wash cotton sateen sheets?
Machine wash cold or warm with like colors, then tumble dry low and remove promptly to limit wrinkles. Skip bleach and fabric softener, which dull the sateen sheen.
Is sateen better than percale?
Sateen is smoother and drapes more, which suits cool sleepers who like a soft feel. Percale is crisper and more breathable, and holds up better if you dislike ironing.
When is the best time to buy?
Sheet sets like this usually drop during white sales in January and around back-to-school and Black Friday events. Check the price history before buying outside those windows.
What do buyers say about the Arch Studio Printed Cotton Sateen 4-Pc. Sheet Set?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 254 ratings.
