Our take on the Ariete Moderna 1396/01 Drip Coffee Maker

The Ariete Moderna 1396/01 is a 900W drip coffee maker in black or white with a simple, retro-styled body. It brews into a glass carafe and has no grinder or app control, so it suits people who want plain filter coffee with pre-ground beans. At $86.86 at Tiny Lux as of November 7, 2026, it is the only new price listed, so there is no recent range to compare it against.

Questions and answers

Is the Ariete Moderna 1396/01 worth it?
If you want a basic, good-looking drip machine for pre-ground coffee, it covers that at $86.86 at Tiny Lux as of November 7, 2026. If you want a grinder, timer or thermal carafe, spend elsewhere.
Does it grind beans?
No. It has no integrated grinder, so you need to buy pre-ground coffee or grind separately.
Can I schedule coffee the night before?
No. There is no timer or app control, so you start each brew by hand.
What colors does it come in?
Black and white.
How much power does it draw?
900W, which is typical for a drip brewer of this size.
Is the carafe thermal?
No. It uses a glass carafe, so the coffee stays hot only as long as the warming plate keeps it warm.
Where is the Ariete Moderna 1396/01 Drip Coffee Maker cheapest?
At Tiny Lux, for $86.86, as of our latest check.
