Our take on the Arketipo LOFT Tufted Leather Sofa

The Arketipo LOFT is an Italian leather sofa designed by Adriano Piazzesi and launched in 2003. Its patented mechanism reclines the back and seat to convert the sofa into a chaise longue, with seat depth growing from 75 cm to 120 cm. The frame is varnished metal on stainless steel feet, with multi-density polyurethane foam and feather-filled cushions. The best new price is $910.78 at eBay as of November 4, 2026; only 2 stores list it new, so pricing is thin and worth comparing against leather sofas from mainstream brands.

Iconic design meets groundbreaking ideas about movement and relaxation, a patented design unique to Arketipo, Loft is yet another brainchild of Adriano Piazzesi.

We understand what space is; it’s a choice. We can choose to fill the space with ideas or products, but what if we did something showcased how we can engineer space and engineer an idea.

The backrest is an idea that will never truly disappear from sofa furniture design but what if you were to take it, and do what Adriano did? Take the brief of engineering space and create something unique.
