How often should I replace the box?

Most households swap it every one to two months. Write the date on the box so you remember.

Does it make food smell like baking soda?

No. It is unscented and absorbs odors rather than adding a smell.

Can I use it in the freezer too?

Yes. The product is made for both refrigerators and freezers.

Is this the same baking soda I cook with?

It is plain baking soda, but once a box has sat in the fridge, use a fresh box for cooking.

When is the best time to buy the 12-pack?

The carton makes sense when the per-box price beats single boxes at the grocery store; check the price history before ordering.

Our take on the Arm & Hammer Fridge-N-Freezer Baking Soda 16 oz, 12/Carton

Arm & Hammer Fridge-N-Freezer is a 16 oz box of unscented baking soda made to sit in a refrigerator or freezer and absorb food odors. It is the same baking soda sold in supermarkets, here packed 12 boxes to a carton for households that change boxes often or for offices and rental units. Each box is a plain powder in a cardboard carton, so it needs its own spot on a shelf or door bin. The 12-pack suits buyers who want a year or more of boxes on hand rather than a single box.
