- Is this the same baking soda as the small orange box?
- Yes. It is 100% pure sodium bicarbonate, the same product in a 12 lb bulk bag.
- Can I use it for baking as well as cleaning?
- Yes. It is food-grade baking soda, so it works in recipes and for household cleaning and deodorizing.
- How should I store the bag?
- Keep it sealed in a cool, dry place. Transfer some to a small jar or shaker for daily use and reseal the bag tightly.
- How long does baking soda last?
- Unopened, it keeps for years. Once opened, keep it dry and sealed; it loses potency over time, especially if it absorbs moisture or odors.
- Is $1.34 a good price for 12 lb?
- Yes. That is unusually low for a 12 lb bag; most stores charge several dollars more, so it is worth stocking up at that price.
- Does it come with a scoop?
- No. The bag contains only baking soda, so use your own measuring cup or scoop.
