Our take on the Armani Exchange AX 3111U Cat-Eye Eyeglasses

The AX 3111U is a women's full-rim cat-eye frame from Armani Exchange, made of acetate with a solid finish and clear prescription-ready lenses. It has a 124 mm frame width and 42 mm lens height, so it suits most adult women's faces without a wrapped fit. It ships with the original Armani Exchange case. The frame takes prescription lenses, and the clear lenses carry maximum UV protection as sold.

Questions and answers

Can I put prescription lenses in these frames?
Yes. The AX 3111U is sold as a prescription-ready eyeglass frame, so an optician can fit your lenses. The clear lenses included are a starting point, not a prescription.
Will these fit my face?
The frame is 124 mm wide with a 42 mm lens height and is listed as one size fits most. That suits most adult women, but a narrow or wide face may want a try-on first.
Are the lenses UV-protective?
The lenses as sold are listed with maximum UV protection. If you swap in prescription lenses, ask the optician to confirm the new lenses keep UV protection.
What comes in the box?
The frame with clear lenses and the original Armani Exchange case. Cleaning cloth and lens details depend on the seller, so check the listing.
Is this a good everyday frame?
Yes for most wearers. The full-rim acetate holds up to daily use, but it is heavier than metal frames and has no wrap, so it is not built for sport.
When is the price lowest?
Designer frames usually drop during seasonal sales and end-of-season clearance. Check the price history on this page before buying.
