Our take on the Ashland LED Flame Pillar Candle Set 6 Pack

The Ashland LED Flame Pillar Candle Set is a six-pack of battery-powered pillar candles with a flickering flame effect, each 3 inches wide. They give the look of real candles without wax, smoke or an open flame, so they suit shelves, mantels and tables where you would not leave a lit wick. The best new price is $44.99 at Michaels as of November 7, 2026, and it is the only new price listed, so there is no lower store to compare against.

Pros

Six candles in one set, so a full arrangement is covered
Flicker effect mimics a real flame without heat or smoke
3-inch width reads as a substantial pillar, not a tea light
Safe to leave unattended, unlike wax candles
Reusable across seasons with fresh batteries

Cons

Battery life depends on the cells you use and how often they run
Flicker looks artificial up close to some eyes
No remote or timer is mentioned, so each candle is switched by hand
Only one store lists a new price, so there is little to compare

Questions and answers

Is $44.99 a good price for the six-pack?: It is the only new price listed, $44.99 at Michaels as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing store price to beat. Whether it is good depends on how the per-candle cost compares with singles you find elsewhere.
Do these candles need batteries?: Yes. They are LED candles, so each one runs on batteries rather than wax. Battery type and count are not stated in the listing, so check the packaging before buying.
Are they safe around children and pets?: Yes. There is no flame, no melting wax and no heat, so they can sit on low shelves and tables where a lit candle would be risky.
How wide are they?: Each candle is 3 inches wide, a standard pillar width that fits most holders and trays. Height is not given in the listing.
Can I use them outdoors?: They are not described as weatherproof, so keep them indoors or on a covered porch. Rain and damp can damage the electronics.
Do they come with a remote or timer?: No remote or timer is mentioned. Expect to switch each candle on and off by hand.
Where is the Ashland LED Flame Pillar Candle Set 6 Pack cheapest?: At Michaels, for $44.99, as of our latest check.
