Is the Dawson power reclining sofa worth it?

It is a reasonable pick if you want power recline on all three seats and a hardwood frame at a mid-range price. The 250-lb per-seat limit and fixed seat cushions are the main trade-offs.

How much room does it need behind it to recline?

The sofa is 42 inches deep, so leave several inches of wall clearance behind it for the backrest to recline. Measure your room before ordering.

Can I remove the cushions for cleaning?

The back cushions are removable. The seat cushions are not, so spot-clean the embossed fabric rather than machine washing it.

What is the weight capacity?

Each seat is rated for 250 lbs. That is lower than many reclining sofas, so check it against the heaviest person who will use it.

How long does assembly take?

Ashley lists about 15 minutes with the included tools. Expect to attach the back and plug in the power recline.

When is the best time to buy it?

Furniture promotions cluster around Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
