Our take on the Ashley Lindyn Oversized Swivel Accent Chair

The Ashley Lindyn is an oversized accent chair with a swivel base, wrapped in beige velvet with a subtle spot pattern. Its wide, rounded silhouette and 360-degree swivel make it a statement piece for a living room or bedroom corner rather than a compact desk chair. Ashley sells it through furniture retailers and major marketplaces, so pricing varies by store and by sale period. Compare current listings against its recent range before buying, since upholstered chairs like this swing widely during furniture promotions.

Questions and answers

Is the Lindyn chair worth it?
If you have the floor space and want a wide, swiveling lounge chair in velvet, it is a solid pick at its usual sale prices. Skip it for small rooms or homes with pets that climb on furniture.
How big is the Lindyn oversized chair?
It is an oversized accent chair, so expect a wide seat and a deep footprint compared with a standard armchair. Measure your corner and doorway before ordering, because it is bulky to move.
Does the velvet hold up with pets and kids?
Velvet is durable but shows crushing and attracts pet hair. The spot pattern helps hide small marks, but light beige still shows spills, so keep it away from heavy traffic.
Does it swivel on carpet?
The swivel base turns freely on hard floors. On thick or plush carpet it can drag or feel stiff, so a hard floor or low-pile rug is the better setting.
What colors and materials does the Lindyn come in?
This version is beige velvet with a spot pattern. Ashley has offered the Lindyn line in other upholstery options, so check the specific listing for the exact fabric and color.
When is the best time to buy it?
Furniture promotions around major holiday sales and store clearance events tend to bring the lowest prices. Compare several retailers, since Ashley chairs are sold through many channels.
