Is the Assile worth it over a separate rack and cable machine?

It can be if space and budget favor one frame. A bare power rack plus a separate cable crossover often costs more and takes two footprints, but each piece tends to be sturdier than a combo.

How much space and ceiling height does it need?

A combo Smith and crossover frame is tall and wide, so plan for a ceiling of roughly 8 feet or more and a footprint well beyond a standard rack. Measure your room before ordering.

Does the Smith machine bar come with it?

Smith bars are typically built into the guide rails on this type of machine. Confirm the exact included parts, such as bar, J-hooks and cable handles, with the seller before buying.

Can I do cable crossovers and single-arm work?

Yes. The dual pulleys are set up for crossover and single-arm cable exercises, which is the main reason to pick this over a plain Smith machine.

When is the best time to buy?

Large home gym machines often drop during Black Friday and January sales. The only new price found was $1,029.99 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, so watch for holiday discounts.
