- Is 8 GB of RAM enough for gaming on this laptop?
- No, not comfortably. Modern games and background apps can exceed 8 GB, so plan to add a second SO-DIMM soon after buying.
- Can the RTX 5050 run games at 2560x1600?
- It can, but expect to drop settings or use DLSS in demanding titles. At 1080p it is much more comfortable.
- Is the RAM or storage upgradeable?
- The RAM is DDR5 SO-DIMM, so it can be replaced or expanded. The 512 GB SSD can also be swapped for a larger drive.
- Does it have a touchscreen?
- No. The 16-inch 2560x1600 panel is a standard non-touch display with a 144Hz refresh rate.
- Is $1,649.99 a good price?
- That is the only new price listed, at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, so there is no competing new-store price to judge it against. Compare it with other RTX 5050 laptops before buying.
- What is in the box?
- The laptop and its power adapter. A mouse and headset are not included.
- Where is the ASUS V16 16 Inch 2K Gaming Laptop - Intel Core 7 240H, 8 GB DDR5 RAM, SSD, GeForce RTX 5050, Black cheapest?
