Is the Snapdragon X Elite fast enough for everyday use?

Yes for browsing, Office, video calls and streaming. It handles those tasks smoothly and efficiently. Heavy gaming and some professional apps are where it struggles.

Will my Windows programs run on this laptop?

Most mainstream apps have native ARM versions or run well through emulation. Check any specialized software you rely on, since some apps and games still do not work on Snapdragon PCs.

Can I upgrade the RAM or storage?

The 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory is soldered and cannot be changed. The 1 TB SSD is the storage you get, so plan around it.

Is the screen good for photo editing?

It is an IPS panel with a useful 16:10 shape, but 1920x1200 is modest for 16 inches and color accuracy is not a selling point. Fine for casual editing, not for color-critical work.

At $689.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, it is a solid price for a 16-inch laptop with 16 GB RAM and a 1 TB SSD. Snapdragon models often sell for less than comparable Intel or AMD versions.

Our take on the ASUS Vivobook 16 Laptop

The ASUS Vivobook 16 is a 16-inch everyday laptop built around Qualcomm's Snapdragon X Elite chip, with 16 GB of LPDDR5X memory, a 1 TB SSD and a 1920x1200 IPS display running Windows 11 Home. The ARM processor is the headline: it runs cool and quiet and lasts long on a charge, but it depends on emulation for some Windows apps. At $689.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, it is a strong price for a 16-inch machine with this much storage and memory.
