Questions and answers

Is the AT-SH26 worth it at $38.99?
For spot heating at a desk or bedside, yes. It packs a thermostat, timer and remote into a small body at a low price. It will not heat a large open room evenly.
How much space will it actually heat?
It is rated for 300 square feet or less, but forced-air heaters this size work best within a few feet of the user. Treat it as a personal heater first and a small-room heater second.
Can I plug it into a power strip?
No. At 1500W it pulls about 12.5A, so plug it directly into a wall outlet on a circuit with headroom. Sharing a circuit with other high-draw appliances can trip the breaker.
Does it shut off if knocked over?
Yes. It has a tip-over switch and overheat protection, so it cuts power if tipped or if internal temperatures run too high.
What comes in the box?
Expect the heater and a remote control; the listing does not detail the rest of the contents. Check the box for the remote and any mounting or warranty paperwork.
When is it cheapest?
Small heaters like this usually drop during fall heating promotions and Black Friday sales. At $38.99 it is already near the low end for a 1500W unit with a remote.
Where is the AT-SH26 1500W Portable Electric Desk Space Heater cheapest?
At Target, for $38.99, as of our latest check.
What do buyers say about the AT-SH26 1500W Portable Electric Desk Space Heater?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 8 ratings.
