Our take on the Atmor 18kW 3.73 GPM Electric Tankless Water Heater

The Atmor 18kW is a wall-mounted electric tankless water heater that heats water on demand and draws 40 amps at 240 volts. It delivers up to 3.73 GPM, so it suits a one-bedroom home or a single point of use rather than a whole house with multiple showers running at once. A digital display lets you set temperature in 1°F steps, and it needs no venting. Its only recorded price is $369.99 at the listed store as of November 1, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.

Questions and answers

Is 18kW enough for a whole house?
No. At 3.73 GPM it is rated for a one-bedroom home or a single point of use. Running a shower and a sink together will cut the flow or the temperature.
What electrical setup does it need?
It runs on 240 volts at 40 amps, so it needs a dedicated circuit sized for that load. Many older homes need a panel upgrade before install.
Does it need venting?
No. It is electric and vent-free, so it can be mounted on most walls near the point of use.
How precise is the temperature control?
You set the target in 1°F increments on the digital display. Output temperature still depends on the incoming water temperature and flow rate.
What is in the box?
The heater unit and a pressure relief valve. Connection size is 1/2 inch, and mounting hardware and plumbing fittings are typically bought separately.
Is $369.99 a good price?
That is the only price on record, listed at $369.99 as of November 1, 2026. With no earlier prices there is no range to compare it to, so check competing stores before buying.
What do buyers say about the Atmor 18kW 3.73 GPM Electric Tankless Water Heater?
