Is the Auoshi GPS drone worth $229.99?

At $229.99 at Walmart as of October 31, 2026, you get a gimbal camera, a screen remote and two batteries. That is a fair package for a beginner, but it is not a proven brand like DJI or Autel, so check the return policy before buying.

How long can it fly on one battery?

Each 7.4V 1600mAh battery is rated for up to 30 minutes, and two are included for about 60 minutes total. Real flight time will be shorter with wind and aggressive flying.

Do I need a smartphone to fly it?

No. The remote controller has a built-in 4.3-inch screen for live FPV view. A memory card and card reader are included for saving footage.

How far can it fly from the controller?

The rated operating distance is 1.2 miles. Keep the drone in sight and stay within that range, since GPS return kicks in if the signal is lost.

Does it have obstacle avoidance?

No obstacle avoidance is listed. It uses GPS and optical flow positioning for stability, so fly it in open areas and away from trees and buildings.

What comes in the box?

The drone with one battery, the remote controller, a second battery, a screwdriver, a card reader and a memory card.

The Auoshi GPS Drone is a foldable quadcopter with a 4K camera on a 3-axis mechanical gimbal and electronic image stabilization. Its remote has a built-in 4.3-inch screen, so you fly without a phone, and two 1600mAh batteries give about 30 minutes each, 60 minutes total. GPS adds One-Key Return, low-battery return and lost-signal return, plus Follow Me, Orbit and Waypoint modes. It has only been tracked at one price so far: $229.99 at Walmart as of October 31, 2026, so there is no lower recent price to compare against.
