Is the EVO Max 4T worth it?

For inspection, safety or mapping work that needs thermal, zoom and ranging in one flight, yes. For hobby flying, a consumer drone costs far less and is easier to fly.

How does it compare with the DJI Mavic 3 Thermal?

The EVO Max 4T adds a laser range finder and 8K zoom capture, while the Mavic 3 Thermal is lighter and has a larger support ecosystem. Both target professional thermal work.

What is the real battery life?

Autel rates it at up to 42 minutes. Expect less in wind, cold or with heavy maneuvering, so budget for spare hot-swappable packs.

What comes in the box?

The aircraft with battery, gimbal and cover, a 64GB SD card, charger and power cable, a spare propeller pair, a repair tool kit, and the Smart Controller V3 with sticks and lanyard.

It carries an IP43 rating, which covers light rain and dust. It is not waterproof, so avoid heavy rain.

The lowest recorded price is $1,579.00 at King of Hobby Deals as of October 28, 2026. Watch for bundle or controller promotions, since professional drones rarely discount deeply.
