Questions and answers

Is the Avid Power 20V drill good for home use?

Yes for light tasks like assembling furniture, hanging shelves and driving screws into wood or drywall. It is not built for repeated heavy drilling or masonry.

What size bits does the chuck take?

The 3/8-inch keyless chuck takes round and hex shank bits up to 3/8 inch. Larger 1/2-inch shank bits will not fit.

Does it come with a battery and charger?

It is sold as a kit, so it includes the 20V battery and charger along with the drill bit set. Check the listing contents before ordering, since bundle details can vary.

Is $30 a good price for this drill?

At $30 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, it is near the bottom of its recent range. Comparable cordless drill kits from major brands usually cost more, but they also offer better batteries and support.

Can it drill into concrete or brick?

No. It has no hammer mode, so it is not suitable for concrete or brick. Use a hammer drill for masonry.
