Questions and answers

Is the Avid Power 20V drill good for home use?

Yes for light tasks: assembling furniture, hanging shelves, driving screws into softwood and drywall anchors. It is not built for repeated drilling into hardwood, concrete or steel.

What size bits does the 3/8-inch chuck take?

It takes bits with shanks up to 3/8 inch, which covers most drill and driver bits. Bits with 1/2-inch shanks will not fit.

What comes in the kit?

The kit includes the drill, a battery, a charger and a drill bit set. Check the listing for the exact bit count and battery capacity before buying.

How does it compare with a name-brand 20V drill?

It costs far less, but name brands like DeWalt and Makita offer stronger motors, longer battery life and batteries that fit a whole range of tools. Choose this one if you drill occasionally.

When is the best time to buy it?

Cordless drill kits usually drop around Black Friday and Father's Day. At $37.99 at Lowe's as of November 6, 2026, it is already near the bottom of the cordless drill market.

Where is the Avid Power 20V Cordless Electric Drill Kit cheapest?
