Is the Avid Power 12V drill worth it?

For light jobs like furniture assembly and small screws, yes. If you drill into hardwood or masonry regularly, spend more on an 18V drill from a major brand.

What is included in the set?

You get the drill, one 12V lithium-ion battery, a charger and 21 driver and drill bits. Check the listing for the exact bit list.

Can it drill into walls?

It can make small holes in drywall and soft wood. It is not a hammer drill and will not handle concrete or brick.

How does it compare with an 18V drill?

An 18V drill has noticeably more torque and usually two batteries. This 12V model is lighter and cheaper but slower on big holes.

When is the best time to buy?

At $25.00 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it is already near the bottom of its range. Watch for bundle deals around holidays rather than expecting big drops.
