Does it really help with baby eczema?

It removes chlorine and some heavy metals from the water, which many parents say reduces dryness and itching. It is not a medical treatment, so keep using prescribed creams and check with a pediatrician for serious eczema.

Will it fit my bathtub spout?

It is made for standard tub spouts, but spout shapes vary. Measure your spout's diameter and check the fit guide before buying; unusual or oversized spouts may not hold it securely.

How often do I replace the filter?

Canopy rates the filter for roughly a few months of regular bath use, depending on water quality and how often you bathe your baby. Replace it when flow slows or the listed lifespan ends.

Does it work on a shower or sink faucet?

No. It is designed for bathtub spouts. Canopy sells separate filters for showers and faucets if you want filtered water elsewhere.

Is it worth it over just using plain tap water?

If your water is heavily chlorinated or your baby has sensitive skin, the filter is a low-cost way to reduce irritants. In areas with soft, low-chlorine water the benefit is smaller.

Our take on the Baby Bath Tub Filter

The Canopy Baby Bath Tub Filter is a spout attachment that filters chlorine, heavy metals and other irritants out of tap water before it fills the tub. A soft silicone cover wraps the spout so a baby can't bump against hard metal. It fits standard bathtub spouts and comes in Seafoam. It is a small add-on for parents worried about dry skin, cradle cap or eczema during bath time.
