Our take on the Baker Ross Rainbow Colors Pouring Acrylic Paint

Baker Ross Rainbow Colors Pouring Acrylic Paint is an eight-bottle set of pre-mixed fluid acrylics, 60 ml per bottle, made for pour painting on canvas, card and wood. The paint already contains pouring medium, so it goes straight from bottle to surface without mixing. It is a low-cost starter set rather than a fine-art brand, and the 4.4 out of 5 from 21 ratings suggests most buyers are satisfied for the price. No current price was supplied, so check the live comparison before buying.

  • 60 ml bottles are a manageable size for small projects
  • Washable plastic bottles are easy to squeeze and store
Cons
  • 60 ml per bottle runs out fast on larger canvases

Questions and answers

Is this paint really ready to pour?
Yes. It is pre-mixed with pouring medium, so you can pour it directly onto canvas, card or wood. You can still add medium or water to thin it further, but test on a scrap piece first.
How much paint is in each bottle?
Each of the eight bottles holds 60 ml. That is enough for a few small canvases, but a 30 x 40 cm canvas will use most of several colors.
What surfaces does it work on?
Baker Ross lists canvas, card and wood. Prime bare wood first, and use stretched canvas rather than canvas board for wet pours.
Is it safe for children?
It is a standard acrylic craft paint, not a dedicated kids' formula. Acrylics are not food-safe and should not be ingested, so supervise young children.
Do I need a pouring medium or cups?
No medium is needed since it is pre-mixed. You will still need cups, sticks, a canvas and a drop cloth, none of which are included.
When is the best time to buy it?
Craft paint sets like this usually drop during back-to-school and holiday sales. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
What do buyers say about the Baker Ross Rainbow Colors Pouring Acrylic Paint?
