Our take on the Ballymore Steel Stock Picking Rolling Ladder Platform

The Ballymore Steel Stock Picking Rolling Ladder is an 8-step industrial ladder with a 80-inch platform height and a 116-inch overall height. It carries up to 800 lb, rolls on wheels, and locks in place with a foot-activated step lock. Serrated treads, handrails and an ANSI-rated steel frame suit warehouse picking and stockroom work. It is a heavy, non-folding unit, so plan floor space and a clear rolling path.

Cons

Questions and answers

Is this ladder stable when someone is on it?
Yes, if the foot-activated step lock is engaged. The lock holds the wheels so the ladder stays put while climbing. Always lock it before stepping on.
What ceiling height do I need for it?
The overall height is 116 inches, so you need at least that much clearance, plus room to stand on the 80-inch platform. Measure your space before buying.
Can one person move it around a warehouse?
It rolls on its wheels, but steel construction and 8 steps make it heavy. It is best moved short distances on smooth floors by one person, with a second person for longer moves.
Does it meet safety standards?
It is built to ANSI standards and includes handrails and serrated treads. Check that your site's rules match the ANSI rating for your use.
What is included with the ladder?
The ladder ships with its handrails and wheels as part of the unit. It does not fold or telescope, so no extra assembly for those features is needed.
