Is a 2-inch topper thick enough?

It adds light cushioning and takes the edge off a firm mattress. If you need deep pressure relief or weigh much over 200 pounds, a 3-inch topper is a safer pick.

Does the gel actually keep it cool?

Gel infusion slows heat buildup compared with plain memory foam, but it is not active cooling. Expect a cooler first few hours, not an all-night chill.

Will my sheets still fit?

Usually yes. Two inches is a modest add-on, and most fitted sheets have enough stretch to cover it.

The foam core should not go in a washer. Spot clean and air dry; a separate waterproof topper cover makes upkeep easier.

How long does it take to expand?

Compressed foam typically needs 24 to 48 hours to reach full height after unrolling. Some corner lift in the first day is normal.

When is the best time to buy?

Toppers like this see the deepest discounts around major sales events and during mattress promotions. Check the price history before buying.

Our take on the Bdeus 2 inch Cooling Gel Memory Foam Mattress Topper

The Bdeus is a 2-inch twin mattress topper made of gel-infused memory foam, sold in a standard (non-cover) style. The gel is meant to pull heat away from the body, and the 2-inch profile adds cushioning without changing how sheets fit. It is a low-cost way to soften a firm mattress or freshen a guest bed.
