Is the BeatsX worth buying in 2026?

At $59.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, it is a cheap way into Apple-friendly wireless earphones. If you want water resistance, noise cancellation or better sound, spend more on a newer model.

How long does the battery last?

Beats rates it at about 8 hours of playback. A 5-minute Lightning charge gives roughly 2 hours of listening.

Does it work with Android phones?

Yes, over standard Bluetooth, but you lose the instant W1 pairing and device switching that Apple devices get.

Does it have noise cancellation?

No. It is a passive, closed earbud design with modest isolation, so engine and crowd noise still come through.

Can I use it for workouts?

It has no official water or sweat resistance rating, so it is a better fit for commuting and desk use than for heavy training.

What comes in the box?

The earphones, a Lightning charging cable, and several sizes of ear tips and wing tips for fit.

Our take on the Beats By Dr. Dre BeatsX

The BeatsX is a neckband-style wireless earphone with a flexible cable that rests around the back of your neck and small earbuds that hang from short cords. It uses Apple's W1 chip for fast pairing and switching across Apple devices, charges over Lightning, and gets about 8 hours of playback. At $59.99 at Best Buy as of November 7, 2026, it sits well below its original $149.95 launch price and near the low end of what it has sold for.
