Questions and answers

Is the Beautyrest Black Series Three firm enough for back sleepers?
Yes. It is the firmest tight-top in the Black Series Three line and is aimed at back and stomach sleepers. Side sleepers under about 150 lbs often find it too hard.
How does it compare with the Black Series Two?
The Series Three adds coils and a firmer feel than the Series Two. Choose the Two if you want more cushioning; choose the Three for maximum support.
Does it need a box spring?
This set includes a box spring, and the mattress works with it. If you use an adjustable base instead, check that the retailer's warranty still applies.
What size is this listing?
It is a Twin XL, 15 inches tall, with a maximum weight limit of 850 lbs. Other sizes are sold separately.
When is it cheapest?
Beautyrest Black models typically drop during Memorial Day, Labor Day and Black Friday sales. The current $1,899 at Mattress Firm as of November 3 is near the high end of its recent range.
What is in the box?
You get the Twin XL mattress and the matching box spring. Foundations, frames and pillows are not included.
