Questions and answers

Is the Beautyrest Black Series Three Firm worth it?
It suits shoppers who want a firm hybrid from a major brand and can use an adjustable base. At $2,199 at Mattress Firm as of November 3, it is priced like a premium mattress, so compare it with the Series Four if you want more pressure relief.
How does it compare with the Series Four?
The Series Four adds more foam comfort layers and a softer feel. The Series Three Firm is the firmer, simpler option and usually costs less.
Is it good for side sleepers?
Most side sleepers will find it too firm and may feel pressure at the shoulder and hip. It fits back and stomach sleepers better.
Does it work with an adjustable base?
Yes. Beautyrest lists it as adjustable base compatible, and it is sold as a mattress only, so the base is separate.
What is in the box?
You get the queen mattress only. A foundation, box spring or adjustable base is not included.
When is it cheapest?
Mattress prices move around holidays and clearance events. The $2,199 at Mattress Firm as of November 3 is near its recent low, so waiting rarely saves much more.
