Our take on the beFree Sound 15 Inch Bluetooth Tailgate Speaker with Sound-Volume Reactive Lights

The beFree Sound 15 Inch Bluetooth Tailgate Speaker is a large party speaker built around a single 15-inch subwoofer, with Bluetooth, FM radio, USB and SD playback, plus mic and guitar inputs for live use. Its sound-volume reactive lights pulse with the music, and a remote is included. The 5000W figure is a peak marketing rating, not continuous output, and the 33.5 lb cabinet is meant to stay put or roll short distances. At $105.45 at eBay as of November 4, 2026, it sits at the low end of its recent range across 10 stores.

Pros
  • 15-inch subwoofer gives strong low-end for the size
  • Lights react to volume and music
  • Mic and guitar inputs support karaoke and live play
  • Bluetooth, USB, SD and FM radio cover most sources
  • Remote control included
  • Low price for a 15-inch party speaker
Cons
  • 5000W is peak power, not realistic continuous output
  • 33.5 lbs and 27.5 inches tall, so it is not a carry-around speaker
  • Rated 6 hours of battery at full volume, less in practice
  • No meaningful water resistance despite the outdoor label
  • Single driver, so stereo separation is limited

Questions and answers

Is the 5000W rating real?
No. 5000W is peak power marketing. Expect loud party volume, not concert-level output, and cleaner sound at moderate levels.
How long does the battery last?
The rated 6 hours is at full charge and likely at lower volume. At high volume, expect noticeably less.
Can I use it for karaoke?
Yes. It has a mic input and a guitar input, so you can plug in a microphone and an instrument alongside Bluetooth playback.
Is it waterproof?
No. The listing says it resists water, but it is not rated for rain or splashes. Keep it covered outdoors.
What comes in the box?
The speaker and a remote control. Check the listing for a power cable and any mic, since those are not confirmed.
When is it cheapest?
Party speakers like this often drop around Black Friday and summer events. The current $105.45 at eBay is already near the low end of its recent range.
