Is this bed worth it for a toddler?

It is a reasonable pick if you want a low, upholstered twin with a playful headboard. The $172.26 Walmart price as of November 8, 2026 is modest for an upholstered frame, but check the 25-inch height against your child's age.

Does it need a box spring?

No. The listing says no box spring is required, so the mattress rests directly on the platform.

What mattress size fits?

It takes a standard twin mattress. The frame is 80 inches long and 45 inches wide, so a twin mattress fits with little room to spare.

How much assembly is involved?

Assembly is required, and the bed ships at 75 lb assembled weight. Plan for two people to move the box and put the frame together.

Yes. It has one built-in shelf, and the listing marks it as having storage. There is no trundle.

What is the weight limit?

The maximum load is 300 lb, which covers most children and many adults.
