Our take on the Berenguer Classics Reborn Doll

The Berenguer Classics Reborn Doll is a 17-inch baby doll from the Leonor character in the Reborn Classics Nursery line. It has a soft vinyl body with jointed arms and legs, a weighted feel, and a hand-painted realistic face with molded hair. It comes dressed in a pink multi-piece outfit with accessories. It is sold as a limited edition aimed at collectors and older children rather than toddlers.

Best forDoll collectors who want a realistic newborn-style baby
Older children and teens who handle dolls carefully
Gift-givers looking for a display or nursery-theme doll
Fans of the Berenguer reborn line
Pros
  • Weighted soft vinyl body gives a more lifelike hold than a hollow doll
  • Jointed arms and legs allow posing and sitting
  • Hand-painted face and molded hair keep the look realistic
  • Comes dressed in a pink multi-piece outfit with accessories
  • 17-inch size is close to a real newborn's length
Cons
  • Limited edition can mean higher prices and short supply
  • Soft vinyl and painted details need careful handling; not a rough-play toy
  • Molded hair cannot be restyled like rooted hair
  • Small accessories are a choking risk for young children

Questions and answers

Is this doll suitable for a young child?
It is better for older children and collectors. The weighted soft vinyl body and small outfit accessories are not made for rough play or for children who still mouth toys.
How big is the doll?
It is 17 inches tall, about the length of a newborn. That size fits standard newborn-size doll clothes.
Can the arms and legs move?
Yes. The arms and legs are jointed, so the doll can be posed sitting or lying down. The soft body limits how far the joints bend.
Does it come with clothes?
Yes. It arrives in a pink multi-piece outfit with matching accessories, so no separate outfit is needed to display it.
Is the hair rooted?
No. The hair is molded, so it cannot be brushed or restyled. Wipe it clean rather than washing it.
Why does the price vary so much?
It is a limited edition, so stock is fixed and prices move with availability. Check the price history before buying and compare stores.
Where can I buy the Berenguer Classics Reborn Doll?
2 stores we checked sell it, including Macrobaby, Frankenmuth Bavarian Inn Restaurant.
