Is the Berghoff Pakka carving knife dishwasher safe?

No. Berghoff lists it as hand wash only. Wash and dry it by hand right away, because carbon steel can spot or rust if it stays wet.

What comes in the box?

One 8-inch carbon steel carving knife with a brown wood handle, a matching carving fork, and a bag or case for storage.

Is $119.99 a good price?

It is the best new price among the three stores that carry it as of November 7, 2026, at The Home Depot. Compare against the other two stores before buying if you want the fork and bag included at the lowest total.

Will the carbon steel blade rust?

It can if left wet or stored damp. Dry it fully after washing and keep it in the bag or a dry drawer.

Can I use it on a glass cutting board?

You can, but glass dulls carbon steel quickly. A wood or plastic board keeps the edge longer.

Is the handle real wood?

Yes, the handle is wood. Wipe it dry rather than soaking it, and oil it now and then to keep it from drying out and cracking.
