Our take on the Bestier King Platform Bed with Adjustable Storage Headboard Shelf, LED Corduroy Upholstered Bed Frame, Taupe

The Bestier King Platform Bed is an upholstered platform frame in taupe corduroy with a 41.9-inch headboard that includes an adjustable storage shelf and built-in LED lighting. It uses a slat base, so no box spring is needed, and it is rated for up to 1,100 lb. The platform sits low with an 11.4-inch footboard, and the frame weighs 72 lb. It is a modern, fabric-covered piece aimed at shoppers who want storage and lighting built into the bed rather than added with separate furniture.

Questions and answers

Do I need a box spring with the Bestier King Platform Bed?
No. It has a slat base, so a mattress sits directly on the frame. That saves the cost and height of a box spring.
How much weight does it hold?
The frame is rated for up to 1,100 lb. That is well above what most king mattresses and two sleepers weigh.
What is the headboard shelf like?
The headboard is 41.9 inches tall and 76 inches wide with an adjustable shelf built in. It gives you a place for a phone, book or small lamp without a nightstand.
How tall is the bed off the floor?
The footboard is 11.4 inches and the headboard 41.9 inches. The platform itself sits low, so the mattress top ends up at a modest height.
Does the LED lighting need to be plugged in?
Yes. The lights in the headboard need a power source, so plan for an outlet or cord reach near the head of the bed.
Is the corduroy cover removable for washing?
No. The upholstery is fixed to the frame, so clean spills promptly with a damp cloth and mild soap.
What do buyers say about the Bestier King Platform Bed with Adjustable Storage Headboard Shelf, LED Corduroy Upholstered Bed Frame, Taupe?
