Our take on the BESTOUCH Gingham Washed Cotton Duvet Cover Set

A Twin-size duvet cover set from BESTOUCH in a gingham check, made from washed cotton that is meant to feel soft and slightly crinkled from the first wash. It is a casual, farmhouse-style bedding set rather than a crisp hotel finish. The set is sold as a duvet cover with matching shams, so you need a Twin duvet insert to fill it.

Questions and answers

Is the BESTOUCH gingham duvet cover set worth it?
It is a reasonable buy if you want a soft washed-cotton gingham look at a modest price. Skip it if you want a crisp, wrinkle-free cover or need a comforter included.
Does it come with a duvet insert?
No. The set is a duvet cover with matching shams, so you need to buy a Twin-size insert separately. Check the insert's dimensions against the cover before ordering.
What size insert fits the Twin cover?
Use a Twin-size duvet insert, typically about 68 by 90 inches. A full/queen insert will bunch inside the cover.
How should I wash washed cotton bedding?
Machine wash cold on a gentle cycle and tumble dry low or line dry. Avoid high heat, which can shrink cotton and set wrinkles.
Does the gingham pattern fade after washing?
Washed cotton is pre-treated to look soft and slightly faded, so some softening of the check is expected. Wash cold and inside out to slow color loss.
When is the best time to buy it?
Bedding sets see deeper discounts during white sales in January and around back-to-school and Black Friday. Compare the current price against its recent range before buying.
