Our take on the Bicycle Playing Cards Metalluxe

Bicycle Metalluxe is a single deck of premium playing cards with a real metal foil finish stamped onto classic Bee cardstock, released in January 2021. The metallic surface makes the cards stand out for cardistry, display and card night, and the deck ships with plastic deck protectors and a Cardware collector storage box. It is a standard 52-card English deck with jokers, usable for poker, spades, blackjack, hearts and rummy. The latest best price is not available in the data provided, so compare it against its recent range before buying.

Pros
  • Real metal-stamped finish gives a strong reflective look
  • Printed on classic Bee cardstock, a known durable stock
  • Includes free plastic deck protectors and a collector storage box
  • Works for standard games: poker, spades, blackjack, hearts, rummy
  • Plant-based, non-toxic inks
Cons
  • Metallic coating can make cards slicker and harder to fan consistently

  • Premium finish usually costs more than a standard Bicycle deck
  • Not aimed at children; listed as adult recommended

Questions and answers

Is the Bicycle Metalluxe deck worth it?
It is worth it if you want a display-grade deck for cardistry or a collector's shelf. For everyday play, a standard Bicycle deck costs less and handles more predictably.
How does it compare to a standard Bicycle deck?
Same Bee cardstock and standard faces, but the Metalluxe adds a real metal-stamped finish. That finish looks better but can make the cards slicker and more prone to showing fingerprints.
Are the cards plastic or paper?
They are paper cards on classic Bee cardstock with a metal foil finish, not a fully plastic deck. They will not survive a dunking like plastic cards.
What is in the box?
One single deck of Metalluxe cards, plastic deck protectors and a Cardware collector storage box.
Can I use them for poker and blackjack?
Yes. It is a standard English deck with the usual suits and ranks, so poker, blackjack, spades, hearts and rummy all work.
When is the price lowest?
Special-edition decks like this tend to dip during holiday sales and card-brand promotions. Check the price history on this page and buy when it sits near the low end of its recent range.
What do buyers say about the Bicycle Playing Cards Metalluxe?
