Is the Billy Goat KV600 worth it over raking or a handheld blower?

For large yards with heavy leaf fall, the 27-inch width and 40-gallon bag clear far more per hour than raking or a backpack blower. For small lots or light debris, a blower or smaller vacuum costs much less.

What is the difference between the KV600 and Billy Goat's smaller vacuums?

The KV600 pairs a 6.0 hp Briggs & Stratton engine with a 27-inch swath and 40-gallon bag, larger than Billy Goat's homeowner-oriented units. That suits bigger properties and commercial cleanup.

Does it bag grass clippings as well as leaves?

Yes. It vacuums leaves, litter and clippings from turf and hard surfaces into the mesh bag. Dry material moves best; wet, matted leaves can clog the intake.

Is the hose kit included?

No. The hose kit for hard-to-reach areas is an optional accessory. The vacuum ships with the standard intake and bag setup.

How does the self-propelled drive work?

The unit drives itself forward so you guide rather than push it during long cleanups. You still control speed and direction by hand.

When is the KV600 cheapest?

Leaf vacuums usually discount in late winter and early spring, outside fall cleanup season. As of November 4, 2026, the best new price is $1,801.39 at ADA Supply.

Our take on the Billy Goat KV600 Lawn and Litter Vacuum

The Billy Goat KV600 is a self-propelled, gas-powered lawn and litter vacuum built around a 6.0 hp Briggs & Stratton engine. Its 27-inch (69 cm) working width and 40-gallon breathable mesh bag let it clear leaves and debris from turf and hard surfaces in fewer passes, and variable height adjustment handles uneven ground. The metal housing and hard-bottom bag are aimed at heavy seasonal cleanup rather than light touch-up work. As of November 4, 2026, the best new price is $1,801.39 at ADA Supply, the only store listing it new.
