- Is the BILT HARD 28-inch snow blower worth it?
- At $750 at eBay as of November 6, 2026, it is a low price for a new 28-inch two-stage gas blower. It suits long driveways and heavy snow; light-duty users may prefer a smaller single-stage machine.
- How does it compare with a name-brand two-stage blower?
- It matches the core layout: 252cc gas engine, two stages and electric start. Name brands cost more but have longer track records and wider dealer service networks.
- Does it have electric start?
- Yes. It has push-button electric start, so you do not have to pull a cord in freezing weather. The starter still needs a charged battery or cord per the manual.
- What is the clearing width?
- It clears a 28-inch path per pass, which is wide for a homeowner machine and reduces the number of passes on long driveways.
- Does it work on gravel driveways?
- Two-stage blowers generally handle gravel better than single-stage units because the auger lifts snow instead of scraping the ground. Adjust the skid shoes so the auger does not dig into loose gravel.
- When is the price lowest?
- Snow blowers usually discount in late winter and early spring, when stores clear stock. Prices before the first snowfall tend to be higher.
