Is the Bissell CrossWave worth it?

If you have pets and mostly sealed hard floors, it saves the vacuum-then-mop routine. If you have wall-to-wall carpet or a very large home, a separate vacuum and mop may suit you better.

Can it clean carpets?

It is made for area rugs and sealed hard floors, not wall-to-wall carpet. On rugs, use it lightly and let them dry fully.

How long is the cord?

The cord is 25 feet, so you can clean most rooms without changing outlets. It is corded electric at 120 V and 560 watts.

How much water does the tank hold?

The clean water tank holds 420 mL. That covers a small room or a kitchen, but larger floors need a refill.

What comes in the box?

You get the CrossWave unit, a brush roll, a filter and a storage tray. Check the listing for any extra brush roll or formula included.

Corded CrossWave models tend to drop around Black Friday and during spring cleaning sales. The current best price is $159 at Distritech as of November 3.

Our take on the Bissell CrossWave All-in-One Multi-Surface Cleaner

The Bissell CrossWave is a corded all-in-one cleaner that vacuums and washes hard floors and area rugs in one pass. It uses two-tank technology to keep clean and dirty water separate, has a 12-inch cleaning path, and a 25-foot cord. It weighs 11 lbs and holds 420 mL of water, so expect to refill on larger jobs. The latest best price is $159 at Distritech as of November 3.
