Is the CrossWave Pet Pro worth it over a mop and vacuum?

If you have pets and mostly hard floors, it saves a step by washing and vacuuming at once. For large homes or deep carpet, a separate vacuum and mop still do more.

Does it work on carpets?

It vacuums low-pile area rugs and can do a light wash, but it is not a carpet cleaner. Do not use it on high-pile carpet or unsealed wood.

How big are the tanks?

The clean and dirty tanks are both small, so you will empty and refill often on bigger jobs. Plan on stopping every few rooms.

What comes in the box?

The unit, a pet multi-surface brush roll, a trial-size pet formula, and a storage tray. Check the listing for the exact bundle.

Bissell and major retailers discount it around Black Friday and spring cleaning sales. Watch for bundle deals that include extra formula.

Our take on the Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro Multi-Surface Wet Dry Vacuum

The Bissell CrossWave Pet Pro is an upright wet-dry vacuum that washes hard floors and vacuums area rugs in one pass, with a pet tool and a formula made for pet messes. It sprays clean water and solution, scrubs with a rotating brush, and pulls dirty water into a small tank. The two-tank design keeps clean and dirty water apart, but the dirty tank is tiny, so expect frequent refills on big jobs. It is a corded machine built for quick cleanups, not whole-home deep cleaning.
