Is the BV3100 worth it?

For small yards with an outlet nearby, yes. It blows and vacuums for $69.00 at Black+Decker as of November 4, 2026, which is less than most cordless blowers alone.

How does it compare with a cordless blower?

It is stronger and cheaper than most battery blowers, but you are tied to a cord. Cordless models suit big lots and rooftops; this one suits lawns and driveways near the house.

Does the vacuum really mulch?

Yes, at a 10:1 ratio, so roughly ten bags of leaves become one. The bag is small, so you still empty it often.

What comes in the box?

The blower, a blow tube, a vacuum tube and a collection bag. You supply the extension cord.

Fall leaf-clearance sales and spring promotions are the usual low points. At $69.00 it is already near the bottom of its range.
