Questions and answers

Is this food suitable for puppies?
No. It is formulated for adult dogs, and Blue Buffalo sells separate puppy and senior recipes in the Life Protection line.
How long will two 24 lb bags last?
A 50 lb dog eating roughly 3 cups a day will go through a 24 lb bag in about three to four weeks, so the two-pack lasts around six to eight weeks. Smaller dogs stretch it much further.
Does it contain chicken by-products or artificial preservatives?
Blue Buffalo states the recipe uses no chicken by-product meals and no artificial preservatives, colors or flavors.
How should I switch my dog onto this food?
Transition over about seven to ten days, mixing increasing amounts of the new kibble with the old food to reduce digestive upset.
Is this the same as Blue Buffalo Wilderness?
No. Wilderness is the grain-free, higher-protein line. Life Protection Formula is the grain-inclusive everyday line.
What do buyers say about the Blue Buffalo Life Protection Formula Adult Dry Dog Food Chicken & Brown Rice, 24 lb (2 pack)?
Rated 4.5 out of 5 from 11,000 ratings.
