Is the Blue Ridge Activ Down Throw warm enough for cold nights?

Down fill makes it warm for its weight, but it is a throw, not a sleeping bag. It suits mild to cool nights and layering, not freezing conditions.

Can I machine wash it?

No. The care instructions say dry clean only, so plan for professional cleaning after muddy or dirty trips.

How small does it pack?

Blue Ridge markets it as lightweight and packable, but no packed size or fill weight is listed. Expect it to compress well for a down throw of this size.

Is $82.69 a good price?

It is the only new price found, at eBay as of November 8, 2026. With one seller there is no recent range to compare, so treat it as the current market price rather than a proven deal.

It measures 70 inches long by 60 inches wide, enough for two people to share.

No. It is a down blanket, and down loses loft when wet. Use it under shelter or with a waterproof layer in damp weather.

Our take on the Blue Ridge Activ Down Throw Blanket

The Blue Ridge Activ Down Throw is a 70 x 60 inch down-filled camping blanket built to pack down small for hiking and travel. Its draw is warmth at low weight, with a packable build aimed at families and groups. The best new price is $82.69 at eBay as of November 8, 2026, and only one store lists it new, so there is no meaningful price history to compare against.
