Is the Bodywel e-bike worth it at $199.99?

At $199.99 at Amazon as of November 4, 2026, it is one of the cheapest folding e-bikes you can buy. Expect short-range, low-speed riding rather than a fast commuter.

What is the real range?

The listing claims up to 29 miles, but the spec sheet also says 20 miles, and 250W bikes with a 10Ah battery usually land near the lower figure with pedaling assist. Plan on 15-20 miles per charge.

Top speed is 25 km/h, about 15.5 mph, with a 250W motor and 500W peak. That is legal for most US bike paths and streets but slower than 20 mph class 3 e-bikes.

The saddle and handlebars adjust for riders about 4'7" to 6'1", and the maximum payload is 120 kg (about 265 lbs). Riders outside that height range should look elsewhere.

What comes in the box?

The bike ships with a handlebar storage bag and rear rack, a 42V 2A charger, and the tools for basic assembly. It arrives mostly assembled.

Only one store lists it new, so there is little price competition. Watch for Amazon sales around major shopping events rather than expecting regular discounts.
