Is the Bosch 18V EC Impact Wrench Kit worth $319?

At $319.00 at Lowe's as of November 7, 2026, you get a brushless 1/2-inch impact wrench with two batteries. That is fair value if you are already on Bosch's 18V platform; if not, factor in the cost of staying in that battery system.

Does it come with batteries and a charger?

It is a kit with two 18V batteries. Check the listing for whether a charger and case are included, since kit contents vary.

How does it compare with a corded impact wrench?

It runs on 18V batteries, so it is portable and needs no outlet, but a corded or high-torque cordless model will usually deliver more breakaway torque for stubborn lug nuts.

What size sockets does it take?

It has a 1/2-inch anvil, so it takes standard 1/2-inch drive impact sockets. Use impact-rated sockets, not chrome hand sockets.

Is it light enough for overhead work?

At about 2.77 lb for the bare tool, it is light for a 1/2-inch impact wrench, which helps when working overhead or in tight engine bays.

When is the best time to buy it?

With only one store listing it new, there is little price competition. Watch for Bosch and Lowe's seasonal promotions rather than expecting a lower price elsewhere.
