Is the Bosch PL2632K worth it over a cheaper planer?

The kit adds a dual-mount fence, no-mar overshoes, a bag and a case, and the machined shoes hold accuracy better than budget planers. At $155.30 at The Home Depot as of November 5, 2026, it is a fair price for a kit with those extras.

How deep a cut can it take?

It planes up to 3-1/4 inches wide and cuts a 5/16 inch deep, 3-1/4 inch wide rabbet. Take lighter passes on hardwoods to keep the finish clean.

Does it have variable speed?

No. The motor runs at a fixed 16,500 RPM, so you control the cut with feed rate and depth of cut.

What blades does it use?

It uses Bosch Woodrazor micrograin carbide blades, which are reversible. The kit includes a spare set and a blade wrench.

What comes in the box?

The planer, Woodrazor blades, dual-mount guide fence, straight and 3-degree no-mar overshoes, shavings bag, blade wrench and carrying case.

Planers like this usually dip during fall tool promotions and holiday sales. Check the price history before buying if you are not in a hurry.
