Are the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (2nd Gen) worth it?

If noise cancellation is your top priority, they are among the best in-ear options. If you want the longest battery life or the smallest case, Sony and Apple rivals are worth comparing.

How do they compare with the first-generation QuietComfort Earbuds?

The 2nd Gen are smaller and lighter, with a much smaller case, improved noise cancellation and multipoint pairing. Sound is similar, so the fit and size gains are the main reason to upgrade.

How long does the battery last?

Bose rates about 6 hours per charge and up to 24 hours total with the case. A quick charge gives roughly 2 hours of playback in about 15 minutes.

Can I connect them to a phone and a laptop at the same time?

Yes. Multipoint lets them stay connected to two devices and switch automatically, which suits calls on a phone and audio on a laptop.

What comes in the box?

The earbuds, a charging case, a USB-C cable and three sizes of ear tips and stability bands. A wall charger is not included.

When is the best time to buy them?

Prices usually drop during Black Friday, Prime Day and back-to-school sales. Check the price history chart to see whether the current price is near the low.

Our take on the Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (2nd Gen)

The Bose QuietComfort Earbuds (2nd Gen) are Bose's flagship noise-cancelling true wireless earbuds, sold here in White Smoke. They stand out for Bose's strong active noise cancellation, a secure fit with stability bands, and a pocketable case that adds charge. Bose rates battery life at up to 24 hours total with the case, about 6 hours per charge in the buds. The listing's 40 mm driver and over-ear style labels do not match these earbuds; they are in-ear buds with small dynamic drivers.
